I am still feeling sad by it all too, and hearing all the spin today. Let’s just hope there is a focus on families and those less advantaged, and improvements in health and education…but give educational choice!

I’m from the states, so admittedly don’t know anything about politics down-under, but I’ve heard some preaching lately that says it is the Lord’s judgement when women are ruling over nations. I believe they say it is because godly men are not taking leadership. I believe that was the case for Deborah.

I certainly don’t mean this as a slam against your country. We are ripe for judgement here in the states too – the way I see it. Wondering if anybody else sees it that way or has heard that teaching.

I dislike the way in which the leadership change was done. It lacked for integrity, honesty & loyalty but some of Britain’s best leaders have been women: Good Queen Bess, Queen Victoria, Margaret Thatcher. I am hoping & praying for the best seeing as we are now stuck with her till the election.

remembering of course that Kevin did a similar thing to Beasley…and further into the past…Keating did a similar thing to Hawke…and then Labor lost the election and were out of power for the next 11-12 years!

It’s never about a particular person…it’s always about the party…and in the Labor party there are the unions to consider…they don’t put up all that money at election time without some strings!

But that for a whole ‘nuther time!

I see what you are saying Jo but we did vote… we vote for the party, for the policies, not the person. Rudd was simply the leader of that party. But I also see what you mean.

Having said all that I have always said that Ms. Gillard is highly intelligent, very articulate and would do the job of PM very well… just always expected her to get voted in rather than have Rudd step down as he has in this situation (although I can’t say that I blame him)

It was all a bit sudden and seems was not done in an integral way. I am not liking the fact that the people did not get a say in who their PM would be. Democracy??

On a lighter note – she does remind me of the Eagle that read the news in The Muppet Show. 🙂 Don’t you think?

I am saddened too. I am not into politics but I believe strongly that JG does not have Gods best interests in her heart and that makes me sad that she is in leadership. Although I also believe that we are hard pressed to find a polly that does have Gods best interests in their heart.
