One thing I might add, and it’s a bit ‘off subject’, but loving your spouse like that is the best ‘gift’ you can give your kids!!!

Laugh together, laugh a lot. Try to laugh at the embarrassing or difficult situations that crop up, Imagine how you will laugh at them in a couple of years and decide to practice feeling that way now. Sort out the important from the unimportant and let go of the second.

I’m always aware that I have the power to really hurt my dh because I know him so well. I always try to keep my mouth shut when I feel angry & not indulge my temporary feelings & say something I’d regret later. Not easy when you’re an impulsive, firey type – but I think you covered that in 1 & 12.
