In reply to <a href="https://simplysusan.com.au/crunch-time/#comment-990">Leonie</a>.

Oh Leonie, *you* probably don't need it. Honestly. But I need all the help and encouragement I can get. You're already in a groove whereas I needed more help. I's a good book- very readable and do-able. Maybe you could borrow it through the library?

But Jacqui, tell me this...when you and I eventually do meet face-to-face, do you really believe that we'll either:

a) Go for a brisk walk together and listen to each other puffing and panting...

b) Enjoy way too many cappuccino's while trying to each get a word in edgeways...

c) Sit at the table and struggle for words to say...

d) Swap workout plans...
or
e) Make green smoothies and taste test each others?
:-) :-)) :-D

My daughter bought this book for my birthday. It is a true GIFT to anyone wanting to lose weight and change their life. I thought I knew everything about diet and weight loss..........except the principles I knew were not working and I was getting bigger every year :-/ All the information that I had read over the years had cemented in my brain and I needed a paradigm shift to change my way of thinking! Michelle Bridges book "Crunch Time" was the kick I needed! Yes, I believed walking was a good way to lose weight but after years of daily walks I hadn't lost any weight! I told everyone around me that "slow and steady wins the race" and yet my weight was getting higher each year instead of lower! Well meaning people told me that I had probably gained muscle and that is why the scales were not moving..........P...LEEZE!!
Michelle totally knocked that idea on the head! There isn't a magic pill to weight loss and in this book that is spelled out simply, it is all about calories in and calories out! Eat less and Exercise More! no, it isn't my idea of the perfect life, I'd rather sit around eating and drinking but the reality is that my weight isn't going to change if I continue in that manner! So how much do you really want to lose weight? That is the bottom line! and if you can say "I really really want to lose weight" then I highly recommend Michelle's book!
