Yes, I love running, though at present it is more walk, burst of running, walk again. For weights I use free weights and machines (leg press, lat pull down, etc). I always find my posture is much better when I exercise, too.

Ah! A phone, lol! I'd love you to ring me some time. Funny how in the midst of so much technology, a good, ol' practical phone slips my mind :-D

(although that may not be what you meant)

Yep, that is what I meant. And it's hurting me :-P

Hi Joi,
Wow, you run? I didn't know that...but that is so good! Glad to hear that you feel better when exercising too. so, what do you use for your weight work? Free weights, machines, swiss balls, resistance bands or things like a tin of baked beans?

I'd love to chat about next year. Y' know we have this handy lil gadget: it's quite a remarkable thing. I can pick it up, punch in a few numbers, put the thing to my ear and talk to people many miles away. Maybe you'd like me to dial you one day? I'm intrigued to hear about your 'bold decisions'. Yeah I'll post my highly-flexible-if-never-attainable-schedule once I have something concrete to put on paper.

I know what you mean about overcoming yourself though. I had to go through all that- that's what I mean when I talk about letting go of MY ideals, MY dreams, MY goals- for they were mine in the flesh. (although that may not be what you meant)

Blessings,

My sister and I walk/run for an hour, three mornings a week. This is really precious to me, as apart from not spending much time with her otherwise, it is just such a great things to be out in the sun, the fresh air, and having a chance to hold an adult conversation where I can think several sentences in a row without being interrupted!

When I'm well, I do a little weight training at night, but it's on hold at present (along with the walking - we've all been horribly ill for a bit!:( )

So, yes, I have always found I am more emotionally robust, and more generally energetic when I have a regular exercise program.

Next year? Yes, have been doing a lot of pondering. I'd love to sit down and have a big chat with you about it. Sometimes, as much as I love my computer, it's frustratingly limiting! I'm looking at some bold decisions, just not sure if I can overcome myself and commit to them. I'd like to hear what you end up doing. Will you post your schedule?

Hi Susan,
Exercising is such hard work at the moment, especially when I have ankles the size of small footballs by the end of the day, and I'm a slim build. :-(

However, in the summer months, I do go swimming, as we have a pool at home. :-))

Exercise is so important to our physical, mental and Spiritual well-being, isn't it? When I swim, I feel the benefits immediately.

Care for a swim?
Blessings,
Jillian

I have a young daughter that I can't leave at home alone so in the dst months I go for an evening walk by myself after dh comes home. I find it great to just get out by myself and have time to think, ponder, talk to God etc without interruptions and yes the physical benefits are great!
In the winter months (when it gets dark early) it's a challenge but this last winter I tried fitting exercise into our day by running in the park with her etc. not enough though:(
Gym is out of the question for us due to the cost (at the moment) but I would love to one day in the future.
As for hs plans, sorry Susan, no answers from this novice:)
