Thanks Amanda….someone else told me a very similar thing. I was just tickled because my hits went through the roof. And yes…if even one regular comes out of this…I’ll be happy.

I’m a writer so getting my web presence out there is pretty important to me so the web counter is more of a barometer of how well my name’s getting out there. So…it’s also good to know that alphainventions is probably “tickling my web counter” as this other guy said. I’ll take the hits with a grain of salt.

Well, there you go. Thanks Amanda. I guess for some people, especially those in business, it’s a bit of a quirky way to get some traffic…but ehy I’m not into traffic anyway- always brings way more spam with it. 🙁

Um, I wouldn't bother. They connected my blog (don't know how they came across me exactly), but yes, you get loads more hits, but it is only that: a hit. They don't actually read your posts, and it is like a fleeting 2 second look. It is not all it is cracked up to be. Wordpress forums have heaps of comments about it, and mostly all say the same thing. Good in theory, but really, I am not interested in having a 100 more people show up on my stats, if that is all they do: show up. I would be happy if these hits actually generated someone, even one person, reading my stuff. If not, it is only good for the stat-ego person.
