I cant say I am "glad" I watched it, but it did open my heart to more of what Christ was trying to teach me. I am happy that you (mum... :shy: ) prepared me for it when I was younger, as when I watched it I didn't view it as just a "movie" with good actors, producer (although lately...) and great costumes. I viewd it as though I was actually there. Gut wrenchingly beside Him watching Him carry the cross through Jerusalem...

So I am going to contradict and say I am sort of glad I watched it as I believe He used that movie to really open my heart and fully face it towards Him. The passion and pleasure I now feel when I speak or hear His name is how I am sure he has always wanted me to feel...

I am the only one in my family who hasn't watched this movie yet! I will watch it.......one day, but I don't think I'm ready just yet. It is good to hear that God used the movie to speak to you about an area in your life. I am continually amazed at how he does this! I am "s l o w l y" reading through "The Shack" and after reading a verse in the last chapter had to put the book down because the Lord spoke to me so vividly that I simply couldn't continue reading any more! I am still (a week later) trying to absorb the words as it has really touched me.

It is frustrating that the church has it's mainstream beliefs and those that differ from them are not respected, despite the fact those that differ, right or wrong, tend to have their intepritation of the bible as backup while mainstream christianity has become based around political correctnss and public relations. A good example of this is the new fad of shunning anyone who dares speak about Gods Law, because God cannot possibly have a Law, he is all forgivness and that would contradict. The 10 suggestions are what we should 'aspire' to.

It's great to hear that it's touched you anyway :) I intend to see it at some point but I hesitate for now.
