Too true Jo, too true. I know you know of the situation I speak of… but it doesn’t matter. It’s trie. Too often we parent in fear. I don’t need to be a control freak because God truly is on The Throne… in all areas. It’s a shame that, at times, I have tried to compartmentalise this parenting business… there’s my walk with God and then there’s my parenting job. But they’re all intertwined!!!!

The key, and the only key that has worked for me AND given me a sense of peace is exactly that — Trusting In Him.

I think for me it happens when I get a bit stressed, my default mode is to control everything. I hate it when I am doing it but struggle to step back, unless I kneel before Him. He is the only one who can change those reactions. I pray you have a positive experience while your hubby is away and are able to let go of that control a wee bit.

While it’s true, the Lord is no doubt working things out in your own personality etc, I think most of have to run a pretty tight ship when Dad is working away or otherwise absent.
