Hi Sharon,
I use plugins, scripts and widgets to place things all over my site. I can do this because my site is self hosted, unlike yours. You use WordPress.com whereas I use WordPress.org - downloaded and use it on my own server. This allows for greater customisation.

You have a similar feature available but it links to possible related posts outside of your blog. I don't care much for these as the links are not within my control - I don't necessarily endorse the links they show.

The related posts feature may one day be available to WordPress.com users but not yet. Most people who desire this feature do it the old fashioned way - manually.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

However, aside from manually the other options, which may not be quite what you're looking for but it really does help is to use the 'tag' and 'category' feature. Using both of these options will help readers to navigate your site to find information.

To do this simply go to your dashboard-->Posts-->Tags-->Categories.

I see you are also using the 'Top Posts' widget, which is also handy. For those that don't know about it go to your dashboard--> Appearance-->Widgets-->Select Top Posts and then customise the widget. Don't forget to click 'save'.

Hope this helps,

Hmmm. I'll have to think on that some more. I agree with the awards and tags thing - it's not really what I blog for. I have to thank you for introducing me to this game though. Who would ever have thought it was such fun?

Hi BB,
Yes! I do know what you mean but the great thing about blogging is that it is not compulsory to add someone to your blogroll. It is *your* blogroll- do what you like. It doesn't have to be stressful, just don't add their blogroll to yours! Or you could have a page, like my stats and awards page, that talks about why I do what I do and why I don't partake is some things. :nerd: But I do know what you mean. This blog and its feed are on many other blogrolls yet my own blogroll is really quite small. But it's my true blogroll - the blogs I frequent or read regularly. Don't call it a blogroll- title it "My Blogging Buddies" or something like that.

On a slightly different, but similar note...I don't do tags, awards or stats! I don't do tags because I don't really have the time. I don't pay attention to awards because of the pride issue and I don't record or even have a stat counter- similar but different...to me it still equals some kind of obligation, which is not why I blog.

Thanks for stopping by! 8-)

You're such a clever bunny. Do you know why I don't have a blogroll? It's the same reason I don't join facebook. What do you do if someone puts you on their blogroll, and you don't feel you can, in good conscience, link back to theirs? I don't need that kind of stress! It is a bit sad that I have a few precious blogging buddies whose sites I enjoy that I would otherwise link to, but there also others who contain content I wouldn't condone, and I would feel irresponsible linking. but bad if I didn't.

Do you have some way of dealing with that?
