I just wanted to add my 2cents worth here. We too have started IEW this year and it has been great. The thing I like the most about it is that the children learn a skill (such as key words) and then after a few specific practices they are using that writing skill in all areas of their study – Bible, Science, History, Literature! and without me giving a writing lesson for each topic! I love it! The kids love it too – which helps!
