I didn’t know that about Alzheimers. My father has Alzheimers so we are constantly looking out for ways to reduce our risk.

We have cut out deodorant with aluminum and will add coconut oil too.

Oh we love Olive Oil as well…but are trying to use more coconut oil than olive oil. Doesn’t always work though. Small steps, one at a time…

Master C made Zucchini Slice for tea last night and it called for 1 cup of oil. he simply used half a cup of olive oil and half a cup of coconut oil!

we use it for anything and everything – internally and externally. If you want some ideas, I can give links or watch out for tomorrow’s post. 😉

So do you use Coconut oil in everything when cooking – or do you use Olive oil as well?

Fee x (who obviously knows absolutely nothing about the uses for Coconut Oil – apart from my father who used to slather himself in the stuff to “get a good tan” in the 70’s and 80’s – *shudder*).

I’ve just heard of another reputable brand that uses the same methods and is Fair Trade. 😉

Whilst I have used ti personally, another homeschooler recommended it and it does look good. http://www.neoearthorganics.com/

So good producers and stockists are Out There…just not on the shelf at the local grocery chain store. 😉

Thanks for these posts on Coconut Oil Susan. I have recently (like a week ago), purchased my very first bottle of coconut oil. I was in a health food shop in Cairns, and there were a few different brands and I was wishing I could just ask you there and then, lol. Seriously.

I will buy this brand next time as ‘the price is right’! And, I trust your recommendation.
