On reading here Susan I want to offer a word of encouragement. 20 years ago my man had a massive breakdown, broke his back, lost his job, was medicated to oblivion…for all intents & purposes I was a single parent; 5 children, 3 of them boys heading into the teen years. I couldn’t work full time as my husband needed care. A breakthrough in medication gave him back a 1/2 life but without meaningful employment he felt he was a drain on the family rather than a contributing member. His self worth & self esteem plummeted. These things mean more to men than they do to most women.

Eventually I convinced him to turn his stamp hobby into a job. Not sure how the marriage survived me teaching him the computer skills he needed but it did. The Lord did the rest. His *hobby* put me through bible school & paid for Cait’s training last year. So whatever the obstacles in health, employment, finances He is more than able. He did it for us. He can do it for you. It may just require a little thinking outside the box but I know you are good at that. 🙂
