We buy our curriculum through the homeschooling company we go through. We use the ACE stuff. Even though the kids do a lot of the work on their own, I am still learning stuff, even if it is grade 1 for the third time!
When we were in Oregon, I bought almost all of it at a wonderful store called Exodus Provisions. But I’ve found that I need less and less curriculum after buying too much there for many years, and building a good library. I’d say now most purchases come from Ebay or Amazon.com! But my favorite store back home does do mailorder so I can still get things I need from them!
Margaret’s last blog post..Carnival of Homeschooling is up!
I’m in Canada – I like HomeschoolandMore.ca and learninghouse.ca, but now that I’m Messianic and am keeping the Torah, I’m finding fewer and fewer resources are acceptable – which is why I love H.O.W.!
Our main core is ACE and we buy that through Jubilee College in Queensland. I still buy lots of other books though! as we tend to do extras on our ACE free day. My latest favourite supplier is http://www.bookdepository.co.uk
They do free postage and their books are well priced. I try to stay with Aussie suppliers where possible but sometimes the cost of books plus postage KILLS!
