Jacqui (a dear homeschooling/health buddy) has recently rejoined Weight Watchers Online so she shared her ‘before’ pictures. She’s now dared me to post my ‘before’ pictures so here they are!
The top photos were taken in May, 2009.

And the bottom ones were taken in August, 2009.

Not much change yet (except my hair) but I’m looking forward to leaner, stronger changes. 🙂
Such tiny, little pictures! I want to see the new hair 😀
I left a comment before but it doesn’t seem to have shown up… never mind I will try again…
Well done Susan! I can see heaps of difference – especially in the front-on photo! and, no flash on the top piccies :S You look great though 🙂
I’m with Amanda. I think you look better in the after pics too!! With all your exercise you must be fitter too – and that after all is most important. Yeah?
Looking good! Like Jacqui, the befores look okay too, but all the best with the healthy program.
(BTW if you are reading this Jacqui, I have tried to comment on your last couple of posts and can’t do the verification.)
I’m with the others too, I think you definitely look more toned in the after pics (from what I can see – as they are a bit small for my eyes!)
All the best with your plan!
Yes Jacqui… I tried to leave you comments also and it was all weird, lol.
Oh no, don’t tell me my blog is playing up again~!! Stupid computers
Anyway Susan, I love the before and after pictures. It is a great way to track our progress. Just don’t publish the ones in your undies only!!!! ~mine are safely tucked away in my undies drawer, for what purpose I do not know!~ but maybe soon I will be able to see some difference. We have to make this journey a bit of fun too don’t we~!
Hi Joi, I have added new links to bigger pictures. 🙂 Also, it isn’t a new hair style, it is more likely the neglected look! I’m trying to grow it long which means longer layers so it just looks dead straight and lank…but it’s a work in progress.
Hi Amanda, yep I’ll use a real camera next time, I think. 😀 Thanks!
Hi Jeanne, Ruby and Rosemary– yes health is my goal, not so much weight loss. I want health and energy more than anything! Thanks gals 🙂
Jacqui, ain’t no one gonna see those pics! NO ONE! But I do plan to do some more photos in early October…that will be about 6 weeks since I’ve been at my ‘real’ gym. lol
Ah, thank you sweet lady. I think you do look different in the second pictures 🙂
The hair – growing fine hair can be a challenge. Have you tried throwing a few big velcro rollers in the top while you’re in the shower, or on the treadmill? You can just put them in dry in the top layers, and even leaving them there for a short time will give you a touch more bounce.
Susan,
You look great.
You look great! (In both before and after:0) but I agree the toning is paying off. Onys, Susan!
Good idea about the rollers Joi, maybe Susan should take some more pictures with those in!
No way! I draw the line somewhere, y know? I do have some dignity left :sidefrown: Besides, hot rollers just don’t work in my hair. The work for about 4 minutes and then it all falls flat! :shout:
yeah, same with my hair. Only perms work on my hair and there is no way in the world that I am going back to the 80’s to revamp ‘that’ look 🙂
Look here, you pair. I am NOT talking about hot rollers, I mean VELCRO rollers. The big, wreck your delicate fabrics rollers that you can use wet or dry.
Here’s what to do. Run down to the salon and get some Sea Salt Mist/Spray. Shampoo, towel dry, spray. Throw in some big velcros and hit the treadmill, put the washing on, etc (in truth, it works just as well if you sit in front of the computer and drink coffee, but I was trying to be motivating 😀 ). When your hair is crunchy, warm it with the blow drier for a minute or two. Leave the velcros in long enough for your hair to be cold after the dryer.
Take them out and…ta da! Cool hair. I promise. The next day when it’s all flat out and daggy from being slept on, you don’t have to repeat the process, just put the velcros back in while you shower, etc, and it kind of revives itself.
Go on, please try it! You’ll like it. :-))
That sounds great Joi! Could you post us some pictures? just so we can get the instructions right?
Say, you at the computer with your cup of coffee and the VELCRO rollers.
Thanks!
LOL!!! You are tooooo funny, Ruby!
However, I can’t oblige you. I am still in recovery from the last time I was exposed with my hair in rollers.
My sister in law is a scientist with a lab not far from my house, and she is one of those people who just never rings before showing up at the door. (Grrr!) Dressed in my most glamorous yardies, with a head full of the largest velcros you can get (my hair is long and I wanted it to be straight – the bigger the rollers, the straighter the effect) my SIL shows up at my door with a fresh faced, smooth voiced, young South African man (maybe around 25 yrs).
Why? She wanted to introduce me to her new co-worker. You have to imagine, I felt at a serious disadvantage standing in my kitchen in my enormous rollers. The poor boy was shocked. (I was hardly less so myself.)
Yes, I am still in need of emotional healing after that little encounter! 😛
