Oh goodness, I’m like a giddy schoolgirl. I’m so excited that I can barely think straight, let alone do all the necessary things for today.
Guess who got an early mark?
Guess who has just left Victoria (the state) and is driving home today?
Guess who will be home later tonight?
Can you guess? Do I have to spell it out?
Okay, I know the photo is 21 years old but that doesn’t mean that we necessarily feel any older. I still feel the same dizzy happiness at being with my man.
And yes, he’s coming home tonight!
oh that is so sweet susan!!! you made the smile go right all the way across my face! bless you guys 🙂
love lusi x
Hi Lusi,
Silly thing is that I’m sitting here, waiting. He’s not due to arrive until about 9pm and I have heaps of work that I could do…but I get so excited that I just can’t function properly. yes, that definitely takes me back to feeling like I am 18 again lol.
You’ve done my heart good girl! ♥
Weren’t 80s weddings just grand!
Ah, I should have guessed with all the cryptic messages!! Have a wonderful evening together!!
PS You were such a beautiful bride…even with the hair!!
Thanks Jeanne,
And hey, it was the ’80’s  I dare you to show some pics of yourself in the ’80’s.
He’ll be home sometime between 7 and 8pm, we hope. Miss A has spent the whole day baking cookies, and preparing his meal- Seared Wagu Steak (topped with a mushroom and garlic sauce) with grilled zucchini, crispy potato’s, prosciutto salad with toasted pine nuts & goat cheese. Topped off with Lemon & Marscopone Mousse. All home made. Man, I don’t know where this girl learned to cook…not from me, that’s for sure! 😀
sorry what time was dinner did you say? 🙂 lol sounds like you are in for a wonderful evening!
i had to giggle when you wrote about not being able to function properly…brett was off work for a week with cellulitis not long ago + on the day he went back we almost cried together at the front door before he left. I said something like, ‘i so wish you had another week off!’ The next day he went to hospital since he couldnt walk again  + they diagnosed gout. Well he walked through the door half in pain + half almost clicking his heals together (not literally of course since gout is painful :sidefrown: ) and told me the dr had given him almost another week off! We kind of laughed, kind of said we should be careful about we hope for! lol 🙂 And we’ve only been married (almost) 9 years! :kissing: lol 🙂 I think its wonderful to feel like that about your man Susan + for sharing it with us 🙂
Have a great reunion!!!
Love Lus x
I think I will have to send DH off for six weeks and see how it feels………..maybe not!
Yes, we had a lovely night- John slept most of it! He was so tired but did drive the whole way over with only one quick stop so I’m not surprised that he was so tired.
Lusi, John and I are pretty weird. We can work great together when we have clearly defined goals and a time deadline but otherwise we are pretty hopeless together. We just enjoy each others company and love vegging out together. early on in our married life, John worked from home and while I loved it, I found it hard to establish and maintain any sort of routine. But I never complained either because I knew that it wouldn’t always be that way.
Brett and yourself sound similar – best mates! Ah, what a way to be. 🙂 I loved your story, thanks for sharing.
